Lady M. Gets With It.
The ad team from the big London agency arrives at Little Whipping to discuss marketing plans for Lady Margaret’s homemade jellies.
“Authentic,” says the sincere account executive, “but thoroughly contemporary, too. We want the same sense of tradition that tourists feel here in your Stately Home to come alive on modern telly.”
“If it please yer, mum,” says the shaggy creative director, “we were finkin’ of yer in the kitchen mixing’ up a pot wif cook. Got sumfink to wear?”
The wardrobe mistress is
delighted with her tour of Lady M.’s closets. “Such beautiful things; a snip here, a stitch there, you’ll be ready in no time.”

“Smashing, my dear,” observes Lord Randolph. “Takes me back to behind the hedges in the Cotswolds.”
