Really, Really Red.

Tournaboni Shirt-Dress Blouse.

Eminent researchers have proved that the color red speeds up the pulse and respiration, raises body temperature, and increases muscular strength 13.5 percent...making a person feel more alive.

Through my own research (including Ava Gardner movies), I have isolated the most unambiguous red possible. No shilly-shallying. No beating about the bush.

Here it is, in a floral-patterned silk dress that’s on the sophisticated side.

If you like to feel good about yourself and in touch with the fizzier elements of human nature, I recommend it.

Tournaboni Shirt-Dress Skirt.

Really Red 1940s Dress (No. 2357). A long cut of silk crêpe de Chine, bodice lined in silk. Rounded shoulders with a cap-sleeve look. Folds gathered down the collarless V-neckline, collecting into an artful twist. Trio of decorative seamed panels above waist. Narrow self-covered belt.

Women’s sizes: 2 through 16.

(Plants get the message, too; the inquisitive Dr. J. Ott reports that seedlings under red glass shoot up four times quicker than those grown in ordinary sunlight.)
