You might glimpse this stunning evening coat entering a hunt ball in Galway or descending the staircase at the Paris Opera; it’s that grand.
I was lucky enough to observe it at considerable leisure, on display in what is arguably the world’s greatest museum couture collection outside the Metropolitan.
Photography is forbidden, of course, but I’d brought along Hagel and his draftsman’s pencil to capture the details.
I think you’ll find the result a timely addition to your own collection.
