Estancia Band Collar Shirt - Spring 22
Details
Estancia Band Collar Shirt
“The gaucho and his horse are one; the man on foot is half a gaucho.”
- Traditional, author unknown
The lore of the gaucho needs no embellishment.
He’s rugged. Nomadic. Elegant. Brave. Unruly. A skilled horseman. Autonomous (aside from the horse).
Born of the Pampas or the plains.
Spends his days mustering cattle. Chasing down runaways.
Traveling from estancia to sprawling estancia. A facón (long knife) tucked into a belt. (He’s also known to be always ready for a brawl.)
His shirt is the kind worn for ages by gauchos, frontiersmen, wranglers, ranchers, and cowboys. From the Andes up through the Southwest and into the northern Rockies.
A shirt for getting stuff done or looking like you already did.
Estancia Band Collar Shirt (No. 7088). In rich, custom patterns inspired by the deserts of the Southwest as well as Central and South America. You’ll recognize the structure of our much-loved JP popover shirt style, but we’ve beefed up the placket a bit. Ruching at yoke and cuffs. Slightly rakish shirttail hem. Sturdy construction from premium 100% cotton dobby from the revered Somelos mill in Portugal. Corozo buttons. Made in Portugal.
