You'd rather be in the shop, or out in the garage, or down at the barn. Where there might be half a bottle of Old Forrester and a tin cup on a shelf. Where even if there's nothing that needs your immediate attention, there will be something to fiddle with.
Start a fire in the wood stove. Slip on your shop coat. Putter with whatever happens to be on the workbench. If you make a mess, the coat has you covered.
Looking the part is maybe not half, but it's at least part of the battle.
Gotcha Covered Shop Coat (No. 7225). Inspired by late-19th-century artisan style from France and Italy, in rugged cotton canvas, heavily washed and slightly distressed for a worn-in look and feel. Its longer length protects your legs during chores (as a shop apron would do). Reinforced stitching. Distressed metal shank buttons and snaps. Three chest pockets (one outside, two inside).
