Italian Corduroy Peacoat

Italian Corduroy Peacoat
Tradition, Reimagined.
The U.S. Navy peacoat is such a masterpiece of design that we felt certain it could hold its own if we challenged the traditional thinking.
A bit of matchmaking ensued.
We started with a heritage 1913 American peacoat style and looked to Europe to source the finest 400-gram Italian corduroy, from esteemed mill Duca Visconti.
So far, so good.
Then we sought the perfect shade of blue and found it comfortably between indigo and your favorite washed denim.
It had to hold its own, of course, on land or sea, so we meticulously reinforced the slash hand pockets and flap waist pockets with topstitch triangle stitching.
Look and you’ll find all the other peacoat details you’d expect. Double breasted front. Authentic nautical shank buttons.
I could go on, but I think you see what we've accomplished here.
A new kind of masterpiece.
Italian Corduroy Peacoat (No. 7074). Trapunto stitching at undercollar. Interior welt pocket. Merino blend wool liner at top block interior. Quilted nylon down fill at lower block interior. Nautical metal shank buttons. Made in Europe.
