Squeezing through the crowd of ostentatiously dressed men and women, you find yourself lost amongst what Hunter Thompson called the “whiskey gentry.”

Big hats, bowties, pastel-colored jackets and cigars all around. (Need I say more?)

“And they’re off!”

Your wife flags you down as you roam amongst the owners’ boxes. 

You join her just in time to witness fourteen horses come galloping around the far bend. It’s, as they say, neck-and-neck—and an even tighter finish.

“And it’s Fuzzy Britches by a nose!”

The crowd erupts. Everyone seems pleased.

You’re introduced to a man who identifies himself as the owner of Fuzzy Britches. Somehow, amongst this sea of colorful human peacocks, he’s managed to stand out. Over a button down and yellow paisleypattered tie, he wears this exceptional denim blazer. 

From a hidden pocket within, he reveals a silver flask. He takes a sip and hands it to you.

“I’d say this calls for celebration.”

Admiring his sense on winning style, you accept.
