Product Details
Early May. Lake George.
I swiped the original from a hook by the back door of a friend's upstate lodge. (Don't worry, I returned it.) That one had a gold crest on the chest. The red fabric, slightly faded. The elbows, a bit threadbare, but still plenty of life in the thing.
Easy layer for anyone to grab on the way out the door. Engineered to keep the wind off when taking a turn around the point in the 1959 Chris Craft I spotted at the dock down the hill.
Jacket fits me just fine when I slip it on.
I doubt it's seen the inside of a closet in over 50 years.
Lake George Reversible Jacket (No. 7638). Two handsome jackets in one. The Racing Red exterior reverses cleanly from water-resistant 100% cotton poplin canvas to a well-pedigreed yarn-dyed cotton plaid. Et voilà. Dark horn 4-hole button at throat latch on each side. Antique brass reversible zipper at center front. Non-roll elastic in sleeve cuffs and hem. Imported.
