In Praise of Silk Charmeuse.
She sleeps on the overnight to London. In the morning, she emerges from her compartment looking impossibly fresh and
thoroughly elegant in this shirt.
She catches my eye, gives a small shrug and a wide smile.
That was Virginia.
I make notes of the design. In spirit, a classic safari shirt but there's a (not-insignificant) plot twist at luxurious silk charmeuse.
Not remotely sensible, nor is it frivolous.
Somehow absolutely essential.
