Christmas at Greenacres.
It was the most fantastic Christmas tree anyone had ever seen.
Rising at one end of the garden room at least 60 feet in the air, like “some great Athena in a Greek temple.”
This “Athena” was bedecked with a mass of colored baubles, 5,000 in all, some as big as pumpkins.
Greenacres, Harold Lloyd’s 44-room mansion, was the
“hottest ticket in town” come the holidays.
