The single most famous baseball bat in history.
It is, of course, the authentic Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger, painstakingly made to Babe Ruth’s May 29, 1935, specifications: 36 oz. in weight, dry. Exactly 35” long. Surprisingly graceful at the grip, less so at the barrel. (Built like the Babe himself.)
A little piece of history that shouldn’t be lost. An instrument of quality made to the Bambino’s last order, before retiring, and so incised “R 1935.”
