A fustian is not a who. It’s a what. They are fabrics whose characteristics include strength, warmth, fine-quality cotton, and the gumption to be hard-wearing. Some are ribbed (corduroy), others smooth and soft (moleskin).

English and French countrymen have worn moleskin for centuries, doing the things that men do—melting steel, guarding country, building homes and barns, taking an insouciant stroll or two, telling good-natured lies. Man stuff.

Surprisingly luxurious with a tie. Dyed-to-match corozo buttons in front. Modified elbow patch extends to the adjustable sleeve cuff. Flat felled seams. Patch pockets at chest with flap and button closure. Back yoke with box pleat below. Made in Portugal.
