Winter Walk Plaid Cape

This is the cape a woman reaches for when she intends to navigate a winter walk in County Kerry on her own terms. 
Meticulously well-made in Irish wool with that ancient, grounding heft — the same kind once worn by women tending flocks along the Gap of Dunloe, a mountain pass mapped by cartographers in the late 1700s. 
The extra-long sweep adds a measure of theatre. Not for attention but for presence.  The kind that introduces a women to the room a half second before she has even decided what to say.
