The Bosun's Call
Product Details
The Bosun’s Call. If you’re a Navy man or woman, you know the sound of the Bosun’s Pipe, Whistle, or Call (No. J6428) and the various methods by which to achieve the low pitch, high pitch, warbling, and trill. These pipes were constructed to produce a sound that could be heard over crew members as well as the most violent and howling gales known to man or woman. This Bosun Call is the model originally supplied to The Royal Navy and is still in use today. It’s expertly constructed from brass, copper, and nickel plate—a fantastic piece of history that dates back to the 1600s that you can put on display and is always ready for the piper (that would be you) to make the call.
Made for the Royal Navy in Birmingham, England.
