Sapeur's Pinstripe Blazer
Product Details
We're going to discuss that most shallow of all things—appearance.
La Sape is a Congolese movement with Parisian origins. It quite literally translates to the society of "elegance" and "ambiance-makers."
You haven't truly realized the power of appearance until you see a man of modest means walk down the street of a war-torn shanty town in his tropical wool suit, silk tie, and bowler. Items he may have purchased instead of a home. To say Beau Brummell would approve is an understatement.
Sapeurs hold attitude, individualism, and status through dress in the highest regard. They consider it to be the difference between existing and living. It begs the question…
What makes something worthy of la Sape?
